MAC contractor member – Brighton-based Oxley Asphalte – has now completed a community project for Bevendean Primary School and Nursery.

Bevendean is a community school in Brighton with large green open spaces. In the centre of the school is a pond that needed a little love and attention. The pond has been a tranquil and rich source of learning for many students over the years, and when Jack Oxley, Director of Oxley Asphalte, heard the school were fundraising to help refurbish and waterproof the pond, he stepped up to help.

Jack and the Oxley Asphalte team helped out the school by donating and applying mastic asphalt free of charge to the pond over the summer break. Mastic asphalt has helped to waterproof the pond and given it a new lease of life for many years.
