The Mastic Asphalt Council (MAC), the official trade association for the mastic asphalt sector in the UK, has appointed Bryn Apperley as MAC Director.

The renewal of a mastic asphalt roof at Sumburgh Head Lighthouse in Shetland required a back to basics approach due to its remote location, historic surroundings and volatile weather conditions. MAC contractor member BriggsAmasco was selected to carry out the complex installation.
On Friday 6th June 2025, the mastic asphalt sector convened at London’s Royal Horseguards Hotel to celebrate outstanding projects and individual achievements across the industry at the MAC Awards and Luncheon sponsored by AccuRoof, a part of SIG Roofing.
